The Moinian Group, along with 3 Hudson Boulevard, were presenting sponsors at Bisnow’s ‘Future of Manhattan’s Far West Side’ event on June 25. The company also hosted the program at event space Espace in the Moinian-developed Atelier at 635 W. 42nd Street. About 400 guests gathered for two panels discussing various aspects of the Hudson Yards district. Avison Young’s Arthur Mirante, the exclusive leasing agent of 3 Hudson Boulevard, moderated one panel, while Moinian’s director of development, Oskar Brecher, sat on another.
Several of the developers that are building in the Hudson Yards district spoke of long-term visions when purchasing the land, including Joe Moinian’s long-vested interest in the Far West Side. Moinian purchased the land for the planned 1.8M SF 3 Hudson Boulevard – which anchors Hudson Boulevard Park and provides direct access to the 7 line station – over 20 years ago. It was noted that Moinian also owns the 11th Ave block from 25th to 26th, and is currently developing 605 W. 42nd Street – set to deliver over 1,100 luxury rental units at the 1.2M SF tower by fall 2015.
