Since it started welcoming renters a few years back, Sky—billed as the city’s largest rental building—has become a hotspot for New York athletes, with several New York Knicks (including star forward Kristaps Porzingis) and Mets pitcher A.J. Ramos taking up residence there.
(The building’s swank athletic center, which features a NBA regulation-sized basketball court—allegedly designed by Carmelo Anthony—and an enormous pool, probably has something to do with that.)
Syndergaard is living in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, situated at a corner of the building to maximize views—which, according to the pitcher, were part of the draw. “I only have to leave the building for Mets games,” he said in a press release. “I love it!” (And hey, it can’t hurt that the 7 train to Citi Field is just a few blocks away.)
