NYC’s Newest (And 469th) Subway Station, 34th Street-Hudson Yards, Is Open

It was a momentous day in the history of NYC subways: the first new subway station in over 25 years opened today at 34th Street and 11th Avenue. The 7 train line was extended by 1.5 miles and its Manhattan terminus is now at the 34th Street-Hudson Yards station, in a gleaming new facility that features the subway system’s longest escalator and its first inclined elevator.

The station, located at 34th Street and 11th Avenue sits adjacent to The Moinian Group‘s 3 Hudson Boulevard and the new Hudson Boulevard Park. With an open transportation system, the soon to rise 1.8 million square-foot tower is ideally located in the thriving Hudson Yards District.
