The Hudson Yards 34th Street Station Opens Today


The first new subway station in NYC in 25 years opened today. The Bloomberg administration pumped $2.4 billion into the project, which encouraged development in the area. The new stop, located at 34th Street and 11th Avenue and adjacent to 3 Hudson Boulevard, is
expected to handle 35,000 riders at its peak hour, according to the MTA.
